Biochar has long been used for a variety of agricultural applications including seed preparation. Seeds coated with micronized biochar store longer and germinate healthier.

Wood Vinegar is a co-product of biochar production, excised from the smoke and gasses produced during its manufacture. This extraction is condensed, separated and filtered into this wonderful multi-use smokey liquid.

Add a small amount (just enough to give them a lite dusting) of the biochar to the container you store your seeds in and shake it a little now they are ready for long term storage.

If not germinating immediately, these seeds are now ready for long term storage in a dark, dry and cool place.

For germination, mix 1 oz. Wood Vinegar and 1oz.of EM-1 with 1 gallon of water (preferably unchlorinater water). Soak seeds in this solution for 20-30 minutes, after which seeds are ready for planting. No rinse required. Excess mixture can be used to soak new plantings or pour on your compost.
